Words to Live By

"Come, you who are blessed by my Father. Inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world! For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me as a guest, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you cared for me, I was in prison and you came to me."

Matthew 25:34-36

Mission Statement

Inner City Pastoral Ministry (ICPM) is an ecumenical Christian ministry of presence serving the people of the inner city of Edmonton. It was started in 1978 by members of the United Church who recognized a need for a church in the Inner City. ICPM is now jointly sponsored by four denominations: United, Roman Catholic, Anglican and Lutheran.

Proclamation of
Treaty 6 Lands

We would like to acknowledge that we are on Treaty 6 territory, a traditional meeting grounds, gathering place, and travelling route to the Cree, Saulteaux (So-toe), Blackfoot, Métis, Dene (De-nay) and Nakota Sioux (Sue). We acknowledge all the many First Nations, Métis, and Inuit whose footsteps have marked these lands for centuries.

In PARTNERSHIP with the
Community,

and guided by the
Spirit of God,

we walk with the people of the Inner City of Edmonton.

We love every minute of it.

Our Gathering

One of the main elements of the ministry is our Sunday morning worship service held at 9:15
in the Bissell West building.  Join us for the service and lunch.  Depending on each week's meal, bag lunches are made available for community members who would like one.  All are welcome!
